Former LA King Marty McSorley Sells Beachfront Home in Hermosa for $17,625,000

One of the more notable home sales in Hermosa Beach in 2026 was the recent sale of the double lot home owned by former LA King Marty McSorley.  The home had been on an off the market since 2021 and was sold off market and closed at $17,625,000.

The home was a custom build that McSorley and his wife named Valhalla and it sat on a rare double lot ideally located between the Hermosa and Manhattan piers.

This home offered an incredible 60 feet of beach frontage and is ideally located about half way between the Hermosa and Manhattan piers and downtown areas making it a bit less trafficked.  

The home featured 5 bedrooms, 4 baths on 3 levels.  The oversize lot allows for plenty of room as well as some private outdoor areas including the pool and spa with views through the house at the beach and ocean beyond.
