Active Homes for Sale in Hermosa Hits a Multi Year Low

Only 22 homes on the market in Hermosa Beach

The real estate market has favored sellers for quite some time now and it’s only getting worse for home buyers.  The current number of homes, condos and townhomes for sale in Hermosa Beach continues to come down and we’re now at the lowest number of listings in several years.  As of 11/17 there are 22 active listings….compare that with 67 just a year ago and you see how low it’s gotten.

We searched several years back and it seems that the last time there were fewer homes for sale in Hermosa Beach dates all the way back to February of 2015.  Let’s hope that turns around as the lack of home inventory makes a challenging market for home buyers even more challenging.

The top home sale of October in Hermosa Beach was a contemporary ocean view single family home in the north sand section.  The home was built in 2014 and offered some nice ocean views from the top floor.  The home had a modern feel and was located just down the street from the new Hermosa Vista School and just 2 blocks to the beach.  It was originally listed for just under $4,900,000 and closed at $4,700,000 after 4 months on the market.
