The home at 2304 The Strand has always been an interesting property when walking or biking past. Originally built in 2007 it had unusual features inside and out and it often looked like the owners never fully moved in. Big Sale of the Month – 212 The Strand Closes at $8,200,000

Hermosa’s big home sale of the month was a beachfront Strand home located at 212 The Strand. This home had been on the market for a LONG time originally listed at $11,900,000 back in 2016 which is a pretty dramatic drop to the $8,200,000 it sold for years later. The official “days on market” was 1,048 which is slightly misleading as it was listed long before it was completed. The main challenge that the home had was the very southern Strand location as that’s a very busy area and not quite as desirable for the areas north of 16th Street. The home offered 5 Beds, 5.5 Baths, approximately 4,403 sqft on a 2,374 sqft lot. We’re not aware of the sales price so we’ll update that once sales info is released after close of escrow.

Hermosa Beach Home Sales and Property Prices for June 2020

June was a solid month for home sales in Hermosa Beach after the slow down in April and May caused by the uncertainties of the coronavirus pandemic.  There were 18 home sales during the month which was up from 10 in May.  The median “list” price was $2,000,000 while the median “sold” price was $1,937,500. The average price per foot was $1171.31 and average days on market was 46.
