The average price of the Hermosa Beach homes that sold in May topped $3,000,000. What a month it was with the average price at $3,034,211 to be exact. There were 19 closed home sales and it didn’t hurt that one of them was a beachfront single family home at 732 The Strand that sold at $8,500,000.

It was a very strong month for closed home sales in the coastal community of Hermosa Beach with 19 closed sales in May of 2022.

The median sales price was $2,400,000.  The average sales price was a very impressive $3,034,211.  In general, homes sold WAY higher than the list price.

The home was priced well $8,950,000 and unlike most beachfront homes in Hermosa it sold quickly.  It was only on the market for 20 days before going into escrow.  It was  a very nice 4 bed, 3.5 bath single family home built in 2008. Beachfront condos are very rare in Hermosa and other than the very unique hotel condo ownership siuation at The Beach House Hermosa, beachfront condos are extremely rare in Hermosa Beach.  There are only 3 real condo type buildings that are beachfront and this is one.  624 The Strand is big enough to be more than just a second home…..with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and almost 1,400 square feet there are a lot of options.  It’s not bad living right at the beach!  The complex was built in 1976 but as with most of the units this one has been extensively updated over the years.  The condo was listed at $4,900,000 in 2021 but didn’t sell.
