Hermosa Beach Home Sales and Prices in August 2020

August was another great month for home sales in Hermosa Beach with 22 on market home sales. That was the highest number of sales in the past few years. The other numbers were also impressive with the median “list” price at $1,997,000 and the median “sold” price at $1,900,000 indicating a softening market in terms of pricing but still a strong seller’s market. The average price per foot of the sold homes was $908 and the average days on market was 75 but the median was a short 31.

North School Construction Update – Not Exactly Your Charming Neighborhood School

We were hopeful that the North School rebuild would actually fit in with the neighborhood but unfortunately we were a bit off on that.  It looks more like a corporate headquarters than a charming local school for 3rd and 4th graders.  Hopefully it will soften a bit as we get a bit further along but for the moment it’s about as out of place for a beach neighborhood as you get.
